B cells as the key to early detection

In contrast to classical serology, where acute and convalescent samples are compared, one sample using the PlasmAcute technology actually measures acute antibodies.

The test technology allows simultaneous screening of lymphocyte-associated and plasma antibodies, and can also distinguish between new 'acute phase' antibodies and circulating antibodies to a previous infection or immunisation.
